FOR AUSTRALIAN JOINERY COMPANY OWNERS
HOW PROLINK WORKS

How ProLink Works

A structured process for assessing whether qualified offshore manufacturing makes sense for your project — before anyone commits to anything.

Technical drawings and project review documentation for a joinery feasibility assessment
PROJECT-SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT We start by understanding the project — not by pushing a production route.
PROCESS OVERVIEW

We start with a project-specific assessment. Not a sales call.

ProLink does not begin with a generic quote or a pitch about manufacturing in China. We begin with a project-specific feasibility review.

The reason is straightforward: not every project is suitable for offshore manufacturing, and we will not suggest otherwise. Before any discussion of production pathways, cost ranges, or timelines, we need to understand whether there is a genuine fit — commercially, technically, and operationally.

If there is a fit, we move forward together. If there is not, we tell you to keep the project local.
THE PROCESS

How it works, step by step

01

Submit project basics

Use the free Feasibility Check to tell us about your project. It takes around 4 minutes. No drawings are required at this stage — just the information you already have.

02

Receive a preliminary indication

You will see your preliminary result on screen immediately after submitting. A confirmation email will also be sent to you shortly after.

This is not a quotation, not a production commitment, and not a guarantee of cost, timing, or suitability.

03

Send project documentation

If you would like us to take a closer look, reply to your confirmation email with whatever you have available.

  • Joinery drawings or elevations, even if preliminary
  • Finish schedule or material specifications
  • Target budget or price range
  • Renders or visual references, if available
04

ProLink reviews in detail

We review the project against commercial scale, margin position, design complexity, materials and finishes, production timing, manufacturing capability fit, and key risk points. If we need clarification, we will contact you directly.

05

If suitable, move to detailed discussion

If the project looks viable, we contact you to discuss next steps. This may involve indicative cost factors, production pathway options, and factory suitability. This is the beginning of a working conversation — not a final commitment by either party.

06

If not suitable, we tell you

If a ProLink route does not make sense for this project — commercially, technically, or operationally — we will tell you. We would rather give you a clear answer than push a project that should stay local.

ASSESSMENT FACTORS

What we look at when reviewing a project

When we assess a project, we consider a range of factors. No two projects are the same, so every assessment is specific to the project in front of us.

01

Project scale and commercial viability

02

Margin pressure and cost structure

03

Design complexity and technical requirements

04

Materials, finishes, and sourcing constraints

05

Production timing and available lead time

06

Information readiness — drawings, specifications, schedules

07

Manufacturing capability fit across relevant manufacturing partners

08

Key risk points and how they can be managed

No two projects are the same. Every assessment is specific to the project in front of us.

IMPORTANT BOUNDARIES

A few things to be clear about

Not every project should go offshore.

Offshore manufacturing is not always the right answer. Some projects are better handled locally — and ProLink will tell you when that is the case.

The feasibility check is not a quotation.

The preliminary indication you receive is a first read based on the information you provide. It is not a production commitment and not a guarantee of cost, timing, or suitability.

Lead time matters.

As a general guide, offshore production and shipping usually require around three months from confirmed order. Projects with insufficient lead time may not be viable regardless of other factors.

Every project is reviewed on its own terms.

There are no standard packages or fixed pricing. Assessment is specific to the project, the specifications, and the timing involved.
